Scandit raises $150 million

Zurich-based barcode scanning start-up designed to change the way businesses and consumers interact with everyday items Scandit has closed a $150 million Series D round that values the company at over $1 billion. The latest deal was led by Warburg Pincus with participation from many prominent investors including Atomico, GV, Sony Innovation Fund and Swisscom Ventures.

Founded in 2009, Scandit has now raised almost $300 million and has some 1,700 customers using its tech, including big enterprises like the NHS, FedEx and L’Oréal.
