Fireblocks raises $550 million
Blockchain security start-up Fireblocks has raised $550 million of Series E venture funding at an $8 billion valuation - nearly four times higher than after its Series D round just six months ago. The latest deal was led by D1 Capital Partners and Spark Capital and makes the platform the highest-valued digital asset infrastructure provider in the world.
Founded in 2018, Fireblocks scaled rapidly last year growing its client base from 100 to 800 financial institutions and now including Bank of New York Mellon, BlockFi and eToro. The company also doubled the assets secured on its platform to $2 trillion.
