Andela closes a $200 million Series E round

Global talent platform designed to connect businesses with remote engineers in emerging economies Andela has closed a $200 million Series E round led by SoftBank’s Softbank Vision Fund 2, valuing the company at $1.5 billion. New investor Whale Rock participated in the round together with existing investors including Generation Investment Management, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and Spark Capital.

 

Founded in 2014, Andela raised $381 million to date and now has engineers in more than 80 countries with over 200 companies in its clientelist including GitHub, Cloudflare and ViacomCBS.
